Here at Castle View Academy, we take GCSE preparation very serious.  Students will sit a series of mock exams over the course of Year 11 which will help them determine what they already know and what needs further revision.  To ensure each of our students achieve the very best outcomes possible, we have made the following support available for them:

·         Key Stage Manager support with attendance concerns

·         Social, emotional and mental health welfare conversations with the Head of Year

·         One to one tuition with a private tutor in English, Mathematics and Science

·         25 minute intensive morning revision sessions in English, Mathematics and Science

·         One hour intervention sessions from 3:00pm – 4:00pm in subjects where performance is identified as requiring intervention

·         Small class teaching throughout the school day

·         Regular subject reviews of progress

·         Mock examinations and weekly tests to ensure progress can be tracked

·         The best teachers in the academy delivering Year 11 lessons
